Clarkston Student Conduct

The Student Code of Conduct contains policies and procedures to both promote the university’s mission and protect the rights of students, faculty and staff. Students are obligated to be knowledgeable of and to comply with the university’s rules, policies and procedures. Students are also individually responsible for understanding and exercising their rights, fulfilling their obligations and respecting the rights of others.

The Dean of Students office is responsible for upholding the established policies and procedures that comprise the Student Code of Conduct. The student conduct process aims to promote the mission of the university, while providing a fair and consistent application of the Student Code of Conduct. The goal is to balance students’ rights and responsibilities with the safety, educational and developmental needs of those students and the entire college community. An overarching philosophy of the student conduct process is to facilitate students to assume the highest level of responsibility for the outcomes of their life and to develop ethical approaches to their decision-making processes.
